BeakonHub (“we”, “us”) operates beakonhub.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights under UK GDPR and PECR.

Who we are

BeakonHub provides QA automation content and free testing tools for software engineers. For privacy enquiries, contact us via our Contact page.

What we collect

  • Usage analytics — Google Analytics (MonsterInsights) collects anonymised page views, device type, and referral source.
  • Marketing / email — Omnisend may collect email addresses if you subscribe to a newsletter or marketing form.
  • Feedback — UserFeedback may collect optional survey responses you submit.
  • AI-assisted tools — If you use the Test Data Generator AI feature, your schema prompt is sent to our AI Engine integration to generate a field schema. We do not store generated fixtures on our servers; data generation runs in your browser.
  • Server logs — Our host (Hostinger) may log IP address, browser type, and request time for security and performance.

Cookies

We use cookies for:

  • Essential site operation (e.g. WordPress session, consent preference)
  • Analytics (Google Analytics)
  • Marketing (Omnisend, where applicable)

You can accept or reject non-essential cookies via the banner on first visit. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Lawful basis

  • Consent — analytics and marketing cookies (where required)
  • Legitimate interests — site security, abuse prevention, and tool improvement
  • Contract — responding to contact or support requests you initiate

Data retention

Analytics and marketing data are retained according to each provider’s policy (typically 14–26 months for Google Analytics). Server logs are retained by our host for a limited period.

Your rights

Children

BeakonHub is intended for professional users. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
